Your Story:
Raymond Davilla is Founder and President of Native Christian Way and Executive Producer of Native Way Media. Raymond is of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes of Oklahoma, he grew up among his people in the small native community of Anadarko, Oklahoma. Raymond was exposed to a multi-cultured background among many native tribes both as a youth and as an adult. The most enjoyable times he recalls growing up, were the powwows across Oklahoma. People gathered from every tribe around and shared their culture of various native dance, food and traditions. The color and pageantry of the graceful and traditional dancers always drew Raymond’s interest to a heightened state of respect and awe.
Raymond is overwhelmed even today by the memories of stories told by elders, sharing the past regarding; religion, history and good times. Native people hold a common bond of respect toward the elders, because this leads the way to a successful future while honoring a trying past.
