I am a child of a Cherokee father. I am writing, and hope to have screen/tele-plays available to shop, and develop. I am, also, writing a series of short stories. All of this being done as a can, of course. My parents raised me to be very aware of and educated about traditional ways of ALL the tribes, specificaly, of course, The Cherokee. I am most grateful for that. Knowing all the Elders in my family was, and continues to be a Blessing.
I am an EMMY Award winning radio and television producer. Documentary filmmaker.
I began my journey in 2001 taking a pay cut and working part time for Wisconsin Public Television as a Production Assistant. I was a grunt...but the Engineers and one editor encouraged me to learn how to use the camera, then learn how to edit and you will be a better Producer/Director/Writer/Videographer. 9 years later, 2 regional Emmy nomination and a number of films later, I am working on my best piece to date. Sacred Stick will hopefully be ready for air Fall 2010.

I am a member of the Oneida tribe living in S. Cal.. I have been involved in TV production for 25 years.
I'm a former broadcast journalist and producer in radio and televison news and current affairs at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation with both regional and national programs, former executive producer and director of news at the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, currently a freelance journalist and journalism trainer with both cross-Canada and international (southern Africa and South Asia and S. Pacific experience.
I'm a Wampanoag college professor who been involved in American Indian arts for almost 2 decades. I've just completed a screenplay that stars a contemporary Micmac Indian in the Boston area. Also, I have an 8 year old son, and I enjoy running long distance.
Born in Boriquen (Puerto Rico) of Taino and Spanish decent. I strongly adhere to the indigenous practices of my Taino ancestry, and am very thankful to the northern native culture for the direction they have given many of our people. I believe in the prophecy of the Condor meets the Eagle, where we all as indigenous people, share with oneanother at the ceremonial fire.
I love art, enjoy the outdoors tremendously, music, and getting together in spiritual union to affirm indigenous ways. When days are warm, I enjoy fishing. When I find the time and feel inspired, I write poetry. I am wouned warrior of the Vietnam war, and work closely with other war veterans in their honor. On weekends I am sometimes hired to DJ music at parties with a broad range in knowledge of most music.
I am a married father of three grown children, and grandfather of five. This year 2010, I will be turning 62 years of age, and trying to enjoy life to the fullest, despite some aches and pains. Most importantly, I live one day at a time.
