Printer-friendly version

This half-hour program brings together three short films by independent Native American producers that all touch upon the subjects of storytelling and communication in Indian Country. The short films in this program include: Indians for Indians, Reality Show, and The Oneida Speak. The program is hosted by Patty Loew (Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe) noted author, educator and public television producer. Each story in Native Word demonstrates in its own way, how storytelling remains crucial to the preservation of Native culture as it embraces modern technology.
