Jodi Rave

My name is Jodi Rave. I've worked as a daily news reporter for the last 13 years. I recently resigned from my newsroom position with Lee Enterprises to do book research on the management of Native lands. I've won first place writing awards throughout my career from the mainstream, military and American Indian journalism organizations. I'm also a nationally recognized columnist, receiving first place awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Montana Newspaper Association. I am also the only Native woman ever selected to participate in a year-long journalism Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University. The majority of my newspaper career has been devoted to American Indian issues, a job created solely for me by the corporate leaders at Lee Enterprises, the fourth largest daily news chain in the United States.
